They are discussing their ideas. After Adam Levine was accused of adultery by multiple women, more celebs joined the discussion to share their thoughts on the situation.
The Maroon 5 singer, 43, made headlines earlier last month after Sumner Stroh alleged they had an affair during his marriage to Behati Prinsloo. “I was having an affair with a man who is married to a Victoria’s Secret model,” she claimed in a TikTok video posted on Monday, September 19. “I was young and naive at the time… “I was easily manipulated.”
Later, the online personality, 23, apologised to Prinsloo, 34, stating, “I totally recognise I’m not the victim in this.” I’m not the one who’s actually suffering here. “It’s Behati and her children, and I’m very sorry,” the influencer said.
Levine, for one, turned to social media to refute the allegations.
“I used poor judgement in speaking with anyone other than my wife in ANY kind of flirty manner,” he posted on Instagram Story on Tuesday, September 20. “I did not have an affair, but I crossed the line during a bad phase in my life.” In some cases, it became inappropriate. I’ve acknowledged it and taken serious steps to address it with my family.”
“All I care about in this world is my wife and my family,” the California native continued. Being thus dumb and stupid enough to put my sole true love at risk was the biggest mistake I could ever make. It’s something I’ll never do again. I fully accept responsibility. We’ll get through it, and we’ll do it together.”
Prinsloo, who is expecting her third child with the artist, did not explicitly address the matter when two more women came out with their own complaints. The model was spotted with her husband on Tuesday as they picked up their kids Dusty Rose, 5, and Gio Grace, 4, from school.
Meanwhile, celebrities like Sara Foster took to social media to comment on the situation.
“It’s awful to eat. “This woman who chose to make a viral TikTok video — putting it out there for the world to see for a pregnant mother to see when she could have just messaged her privately,” Foster, 41, said in a TikTok video. “We’re not sorry for what happened to you. You knew this man was married, yet you participated.”
Joshua Bassett
“OK everybody, just pretend like the person who originally sang this next song didn’t sing it. We don’t support them,” the HSMTMTS star said during his concert in October 2022. According to footage from fans, Bassett then performed a cover of Maroon 5’s “She Will Be Loved.”
Shaquille O’Neal
“Adam is a friend of mine from [a long] time ago,” the basketball legend told E! News in October 2022, adding, “I always say to myself, I cannot be a hypocrite.” The NBA star, who was married to Shaunie O’Neal from 2002 to 2011, has admitted to cheating on his past partners, elaborating, “I wasn’t the greatest husband in the world, so just because I have a large platform right now doesn’t give me the right to bash other people. He’s great.”
Jana Kramer
During a September 2022 episode of her “Whine Down” podcast, the One Tree Hill alum said why the rocker’s apology struck a chord with her, especially after her divorce from Mike Caussin.
“I am over the stuff that happened [to me], but it’s still very triggering when something comes up,” she explained. “I was pregnant when my cheated. To hear these words — ‘My wife and my family is all I care about in this world’ — That was always my big issue in my marriage. How am I? How? When? Before or after when you said ‘You’re the hottest girl in the world to some other women.”
The country singer also took issue with Levine’s declaration that he would “never” make the same mistake again, saying that she, too, “can’t say never” after cheating a few times in her twenties.
Amy Schumer
During a September 26 interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the Trainwreck actress quipped that she has been “kicking it with Adam Levine.” Kimmel then inquired about Schumer’s husband, Chris Fischer “is fine with it,” the comedian said, “Oh, my God. He, like, completely respects my decisions.”
Adam Devine
In a funny Instagram post, the Workaholics star stated that he does not want to be mistaken for Levine. “Just wanted to post this and say that my wife @chloebridges and I are doing great and going strong,” Devine wrote. “I am not Adam Levine. He’s a different person and a poorer singer. We are, however, naming our future child Sumner.”
Chrishell Stause
“When apologising for cheating publically, I hate the we will get through it together part from a man,” the Selling Sunset actor, 41, who divorced Justin Hartley in 2019, wrote on Twitter. “Don’t speak for her. You’ve done enough.”
Emily Ratajkowski
Ratajkowski expressed her support for Stroh after filing for divorce from spouse Sebastian Bear-McClard earlier that month.
Sara Foster
In a TikTok video, the actress called out Levine and Stroh for purported contacts.
Nick Viall
“Emotionally cheating is still cheating Adam,” the 41-year-old season 21 Bachelor posted beside Stroh’s video on Instagram. “The only ones responsible for protecting a relationship are the persons in the relationship,”
Viall stated that Levine’s wife is the “sole victim” in the incident. “If there was an affair here, it was because Adam chose to have an affair, not because this girl was a willing participant.” “If it wasn’t going to be her, it was going to be someone else,” he said.
“It was the same ego and its need for feeling unique that allowed her to justify having an affair with a married guy for a year,” the reality star stated in his article. You don’t get to be involved in an affair for a year and then say that you thought about or considered their partner’s sentiments.”
Lili Reinhart
The Riverdale star, 26, appeared to chime in on the subject, tweeting, “Really admire the movement right now of women who are weary of preserving the reputation of bad guys.”
Karamo Brown
Brown, 41, addressed the infidelity claims during an appearance on the SiriusXM show Bevelations.
“This is not to imply that anyone is right or wrong, but we also have to be conscious of how power and popularity play into a young girl’s self-esteem and how they see themselves,” the Queer Eye star explained. “Especially in our culture, where we urge young women to disregard their self-esteem and appropriate train of thinking when a man who is more powerful comes into your life because of whatever opportunity or status you’re supposed to have.”
“And so at some point, like, yes, she was young and she made a bad decision,” he said. She should have known better, but who should have known better if she didn’t have the skills and resources to know better?”
